Banana Ice Cream Recipe

Banana ice cream (nice cream) is a healthier version of ice cream made from basically only frozen bananas! Bananas are great for digestion and energy, and are a rich source of potassium and magnesium. I recommend adding flavorings such as vanilla extract, cacao powder, or other frozen fruits for an elevated flavor. I love having nice cream as a meal for breakfast or lunch; it is so satisfying and energizing! Feel free to have it as a dessert or snack as well.

Ingredients:

4 frozen bananas (or as many as you would like; I recommend at least 2 large)

1/2 cup water

Suggested Add-ins for Flavor Variations:

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons cacao powder (my favorite)

1 teaspoon matcha powder

1 cup frozen fruit such as berries or mango

1-2 tablespoons nut butter

Instructions:

Blend the frozen bananas along with the water in a blender or food processor until they reach an ice-cream consistency. Depending on your preferences for consistency, you may add more or less liquid. You may also need additional liquid if adding extra frozen fruit. It is possible to make nice cream without any liquid at all, but I prefer the slightly more soft-serve type of consistency that water provides. Serve immediately and enjoy:)
